Thanks. It appears there's no AAA discount on Hertz right now except for weekend and weekly rentals (I'm renting for 4 weekdays). Hertz has a 25% off discount coupon code, but it only allows one CDP code, so it won't let me enter my AAA information to get the free second driver.
5. Re: AAA services for trip planning and reservations. AAA for car rental does not always offer the best deals so shopping around is a good idea. The hotel sites that offer AAA discounts have a place where you select AAA rate which is about 15% when booking online or will give the discount when showing up on the day.
Renting a car for only 1 or 2 days at the casinos is always higher than the rates at the airport. You'll be hard pressed to find a 1 day rental for much less than $60 as you did.
I've just started to research the next trip - a 19 day stay, collecting the car from the airport at New York and returning it there - and find them priced at £1274 and £1488, for the 19 day trip.
