So when you buy a phone make sure that it is unlocked and uses GSM technology. I had the same idea using a cheap phone while traveling in Europe. Bought in Best Buy unlocked Blue Studio with dual SIM and was using Telestial SIM in combination with a local SIM card that was bought in Europe.
