We have never rented from an agency that had a couter IN the airport building -- always caught the shuttle for the one-minute ride to the agency location where the cars are stored. My DH hops the shuttle. I collect the luggage and wait at the curb. He then circles back to the airport to pick me up.

Unless their short car's you'll have a handful of colors and models to pick from. We go for the smallest that still has a large enough trunk for our luggage vs using the back seat.
2. Re: Hertz vs. Thrifty at OGG Airport. Jan 10, 2024, 3:59 PM. 4 PM on a Saturday is not a good time to arrive. Lots of outbound flights plus many arrivals. I wouldn't chance the hassles with Thrifty. Often delays are caused buy late returns and slow turnaround of cleaned cars.

Answer 1 of 16: So I've always booked with Hertz and never had a problem. What's everyone else's experience booking through Hertz while in Maui? I'm reading some horror stories and want to know if I need to rebook with someone else.
