If you are comfortable driving on the right with a lot of traffic you could try one of the newer car rental services like Kyte. Have them bring you the car at the cruise terminal, and explain you will drop it off at Newark.

Fort Hamilton is a good visit - IF you plan to get on the Fort/Army Base itself. Jun 2017. Fort Hamilton is nice place to visit; when you've really run out of other choices. By all means, go spend time there is you have family or friends living in the area. It has its own feel and its own vibe: Like every other section of Brooklyn.
