1. Re: Hertz Rental Drop off at MIA. 2 years ago. You should plan on being at the airport terminal for checkin 2 hours before departure, so about 9:00 am (though 9:30 probably ok as well). Dropping off a rental car adds about 30 mins, so get to the rental car center (RCC) at 8:30 or so (latest 9:00 am). The RCC is about a mile from the airport.

Just accept it will probably take ages to pick up the car and that the person serving you will try and upsell products and then you won’t be disappointed. Report inappropriate content. rk2005.

There are countless car rental agents surrounding Miami airport and you can simply log onto ANY of the travel sites (travelocity.com etc) to get a great price. Shuttles pick you up at the curbside by baggage claim and take you to all the agents in 5 minutes time for free.
