   2. Re: Passenger pick up at airport. There is a passenger pick up area but it's a place to quickly pick up, no parking for any amount of time. You can park at short term parking and met them at baggage claim. It's usually only around $2 to $3 dollars. You won't be near the taxi line or shuttles at either area.

You may not get a Ford Escape - usually it is “or similar.” As Rusty points out if you are not from the US your experience could be very different from most of the responders here. You should clarify.

   Plus some of the car rental lots require 2 shuttles to get from the airport to their lot. So I am guessing it’s the same when you need to return to the airport from the car lot. Therefore, we are thinking of returning the car the evening before our flight to save time and make the morning easier.

   Our plane was to arrive at the airport after the closing hours of Hertz (so I opted for Turo chose airport pick-up/drop-off). It started well with the online registration process. I liked the variety of cars there were offers for our dates. We had established friendly communications (texting through the Turo app) with the Host of our chosen car.
