Personally, Madrid (for busy cosmopolitan city, art); Seville (for historic quaint streets, tapas, history) and Granada (for the Alhambra ).

What a tour with the many museums and Cathedrals, buildings, ancient ruins and stay on the beach at Costa del Sol too many things to mention but check out Gate 1 11 oe 13 day tour of Portugal and Spain what an excellent trip. Thank you gate 1. I will review the Hotels separately. but all 4 hotel were very nice and recommended.

Bear in mind that when you are in Spain the 25th Dec, & 1st Jan are public holidays & most sights will be shut. >>12-Jan-19 Portugal Lagos 2 Hrs Car <<. You then list Malaga as next in your route which is not logical & would take way more than 2 hrs.

I think that you need to pay for a travel agent to work this out when they know what sorts of things that you like to see and do. As an aside, I don't know of any thermal springs in Valencia. There is a cathedral though.
The options in consideration are: 1. Fly into Barcelona and drive to Granada and Sevilla with a stop in Valencia along the way. 2. Fly into Bilbao and drive around northern Spain. 3. Fly directly into Sevilla and spend the entire time exploring Andalusia. 4. Fly into Palma and spend the entire time exploring Mallorca.
My family (husband and 3 girls 16,15 and 11) will be going to Spain late July. We definitely want to see Barcelona but I’m struggling with additional destinations. They love the water so want to do a few days at a beach location. Ideally the itinerary would have three stops and maybe a couple day trips. Any advice is appreciated!
