5. Re: Renting a car at St Thomas airport drive to St Johns. 1 year ago. The St Thomas Hertz website states that you Can take their cars to St John. Make sure you have a 4WD vehicle with good clearance. Also be sure to leave lots of extra time on your return to get back to St Thomas.
