Two weeks before closing I was charged only $119 and my teenager only $99 whereas our local hill, Jackson Hole, was still charging $149 for each of us. For better conditions than JHs late season corn snow, Big Sky’s non gouging attitude was a welcome relief. Also, in the resort owned shops, 25-35% discounts were very gladly received and enjoyed.
Washington, Oregon, Montana and Idaho have been receiving decent snow falls. At this time, snowpack in the Gallatin and Madison ranges (the mountains around Big Sky) is running about 75% of average, which is pretty consistent throughout the state. Late season skiing in Montana is generally quite good. It often snows well into May.
