    9 years ago. The Downtown Grand is a Clarion property, and they offer a government rate that has been lower than the regularly available rate. My guess is that won't help you if you're planning to stay on the Strip, but perhaps it will be useful to someone else coming along to read this thread. :-)

    9. Re: AAA, AARP or govt. rate at strip hotels? fl_mermaid, you are right. That's because many times the AAA/AARP/gov't rate is only 15% off the standard, while a sale can be for 20%, 25%, or even 30% off the standard rate.
