Explain the situation, and ask him/her to refund the difference. If the hotel won't, I would dispute the charge on the grounds that it was an unauthorized charge - you gave your cc number to the hotel to be used for ground shipment, and they used it to pay for something you did not authorize. I would not just suck this up.
