For flights, I think it's a bit soon, as booking as soon as flightsare released 11 or 12 months on advance, is rarely the best price. Edited: 1 year ago.

The August long weekend holiday Monday has different names across the country: BC Day, Terry Fox Day, Natal Day, Civic Holiday etc. but there is not actually a provincial holiday in Alberta on that weekend. Alberta's "Heritage Day" was replaced by Family Day in February.
