Following a small cliff on the left hand side, the road reaches Grafton. There are wooden houses on the left, and, just before a left turn of the road, church, a brick house an an older wooden house are behind a gate with a lock but the lock isn't closed. There are interesting signs explaining the history of Grafton and the life of settlers.
Breathtaking view from bluff. The Lion's Den Gorge Nature Preserve is a peaceful and beautiful area of trails atop a bluff overlooking gorgeous Lake Michigan just east of Grafton, Wisconsin. At park entrance there is a small parking lot that also has a couple porta potties, and additional parking on the road leading in.
