Yes! For years I would drive through Texas City on my way to Galveston beaches. Now I go to the beaches located on the Dike in Texas City. Beautifully maintained. Must have a Texas City Dike sticker to access for free if you're a resident. $10 fee to enter the Dike for the day.

A pretty park that is very well-maintained. We were very interested in the steam train locomotive (Shay Locomotive O.P.& E. #112) and old caboose that have been preserved on-site as well as a smaller undocumented rail vehicle that is set up close by the impressive train.
