    Asda have very cheap mobile phones in most stores .These are not sold as disposable but may as well be. They claim not to lock there handsets so any 2g UK SIM (not 3 mobile) will slot into it. The phone will come with a uk SIM on Asda's own network . Asda's own service plan is relativity competitive.

    As noted, the international calls have to be to a landline. This is for calls to my 94 year young mum in Florida who does not have a cell phone nor computer. When doing research, some providers noted that international calls had to be to a cell, not a landline. I believe Lebara permits international calls to a landline.

    I have just shelled out 20 quid for a Lebara sim which included so the packet says, 500 international minutes. Called the States from the UK and the system told me I have used all my calling credit - this was my first call, my balance displays what's on the packet. If you are going to buy this product do not rely on it to work immediately.
