Day passes are around 100 dollars, but you can usually find discount tickets at some ski rental shops around town. Obviously if you plan on staying longer or using it again elsewhere it would be worth it. An Epic Pass will be valid at two resorts as well, Canyons and Park City Mountain Resort.

An Epic pass is a product of the resort. It sounds like you think any store can sell them, and they cannot. So you have to get it at an official resort ticket window. I don't know what you mean about going to one of the peaks. You get it at the base ticket window.
