1. Re: Credit Card for single subway ticket? 1 year ago. T-Money cards are handy. If your transferring from subway to bus it automatically works out the fare so you don't have to pay again. It's slightly cheaper as well compared to paying cash. T-Money card can also be used to but stuff at all convenience stores.
Jun 30, 2024, 1:36 PM. All trips are accumulated at night and the total fare will be deducted from your card immediately after that (around 3-4 am). There can be payments during the day if your total fare exceeds a certain amount, but that’s extremely unlikely if you only travel by bus and tram. Reply. Report inappropriate content.
JR: credit card is accepted, long and short distance, even for local ride of 200 yen, if you line up and pay at the staffed ticket counter. Metro /Subway: Cash only. But it may be more convenient (and safer) charge to your room, as then they will charge to the credit card on file (which does not have to be the same one used to charge the room) and therby not exposing your cards any more than necessary.

However, after 11 days in KW, I want to clarify that assessment! It turns out that the vast majority of places we used credit did not, in fact, charge fees.
