From Grand Central Station, take Green Line 4, 5 or 6 Uptown and get off anywhere between 59th Lexington and 110th Street, although you will need to walk two blocks west to get to Central Park. The advantage of this route is that Bloomingdale's is at 59th and Lexington (try to book lunch in the Train Bleu restaurant on the 6th floor)
Best to be cautious and give yourself plenty of time for the train from Centrale. If you have to wait a bit, there's a great food court. As well as the train there's also a shuttle service and taxis have a fixed rate of €104.
