You then go to the Alamo rental in the parking garage, find your 'class' and pick your vehicle. All in all, by the time we got our luggage, did the kiosk thing, 'found' our car and got out of the airport was about 20 minutes! By comparision, last year we rented through Budget and we spent an hour at the counter waiting to check in.
My best car rental advice is to keep checking prices. I use carrentals.com frequently and also floridakiss.com with the link to Dollar has worked well from several Florida airports not just Orlando. Once you find a good rate, keep checking. I booked Alamo at a great rate, then along came Advantage with $11/day cheaper.
