    You can take public transit from your hotel in Sidney to downtown Victoria in about 40 minutes for $2.50 per person. But I would suggest buying a $5 day pass as you can ride the bus as much as you like! (Using cash, you buy the day passes right on the bus). Rent a car for one day and drive up to Cathedral Grove.

If you do want to do a one-way rental, it would best to contact the individual outlet directly, and not use the corporate website. You could try any of the major car rental companies - National, Avis, Enterprise, Budget etc.
