Ville de Quebec. (K242) HMCS Ville de Québec was a Royal Canadian Navy revised Flower-class corvette which took part in convoy escort duties during the Second World War. She fought primarily in the Battle of the Atlantic. She was named for Quebec City, Quebec. Following the war, the ship was sold to commercial interests, in service until 1952.

As I understand it there is a hotel tax (3%), TPS tax (5%) and TVQ tax (9.5%) added to the hotel charges. That is a significant increase in the cost of the hotel stay. I read somewhere that folks who are visiting Canada can get a refund/rebate for this hotel tax. But I also read that the refund/rebate was terminated in 2007.
