    In 2013 we were at par now it cost us 30% more for USD. So we only buy and tip in the Peso which has only gotten weaker and cheaper to buy and tip with. For example, $5 USD cost me $6.80 CAD, but a nice 200 Peso tip only cost me $4.60. So 100 and 200 peso tips are nice to get and cost less to give away too. So you can tip more and spend less.

    1. Re: $5 Beach. 13 years ago. 5$ beach is Anse Lavoute, on the north east coast. The track down to Anse Lavoute starts from the road behind the Beausejour cricket stadium. I went down there last February, and unless things have changed since then, you will certainly need a 4x4, as it is a very rough track, with some large stones.
