Re: Car Rental Return to Amtrak Station at BWI. 2 years ago. I’d a lot an hour. Free shuttle buses from this station to the BWI Airport terminals operate daily every 6-8 minutes (every 25 minutes 1:00 am - 5:00 am). Buses stop adjacent to the rail station garage directly across from the station building. Reply.
Aug 12, 2024, 6:10 AM. "Good news! You can definitely use the airport shuttles to get from the BWI Amtrak station to the Enterprise car rental at the airport. The shuttle buses run regularly between the Amtrak station and the airport terminals, where you can easily catch another shuttle to the car rental facility.
There is a free shuttle to the airport, and then another shuttle to the car rental facility. Thats the best bet. 2. Re: Rent a car at Amtrak BWI station. Depending on where you're ultimately headed with the rental, there might be better and/or less expensive options than taking the train to and renting from BWI.
5. Re: getting rental car from MARC Amtrack Station. At first you said "staying in town" so everyone thought you were staying in Baltimore. Sure, you can easily get the car at BWI and drive to Gaithersburg; it does require two shuttle buses, and to avoid the toll road, take 195 to 95 South to 495, then north on 270.
An easy enough trip via the free Circulator bus. There is a Hertz at the Baltimore Hilton. If you look up rates for car rentals at BWI airport it might even be worth your time, and minor hassle, of staying on the train for an additional stop and getting off the train at the BWI rail station. 5.
Yes, there's a big easy parking deck directly adjacent to the Amtrak/MARC station, it was $9 a day, overnights fine, easy in easy out. I've used it to ride Amtrak instead of parking near downtown Baltimore Penn Station. Being that BWI is right off 95/195/295 its even easier than getting to Penn.
5. Re: Overnight Parking at BWI Amtrak. 2 years ago. I believe it's $9/24 hrs. I've used it multiple times before when flying out of BWI (it's the cheapest covered lot with a frequent shuttle to the airport) and had no problems whatsoever. The lot is gigantic so I highly doubt it'd be full. Edited: 2 years ago.
2. Re: BWI terminal to Amtrak Station---How long would it take? Making the same assumptions as renfield - there is a complimentary shuttle which runs about every 15 minutes so if you just missed the shuttle and had to wait for the next one it would be about 20 minutes to the station.
