6 years ago. My U.S. Citibank Costco-branded credit card has the "wave" symbol on it, which I think means it can be used for contactless tap and pay. However, a Citi customer service rep told me yesterday that the "wave" symbol only means that I can load the card in my Apple Wallet app and use the card as an Apple Pay method.
