   Hertz Mexico is a very unprofessional organization. I verbally declined all additional insurances, upgrades or anything from the basic rental multiple times. However, they added insurance and upgrades last second and ask me to sign pretending it was what we originally agreed. I read their Google reviews and this happens every day to tourists.

I rented from Avis and receive a new car at the rate Dollar/ Hertz had promised, with no hassles and no bait and switch. Dollar apparently is now Hertz. So avoid both and save yourself a lot ...

   Beware travelers Hertz Cancun Airport. On the last rental we waited 2 hours 40 minutes. The reason that the wait increases is due to unwarranted pressure from unscrupulous trained customer service reps vampiring the public. In Mexico, if not mistaken, the third party damages coverage is 100,000 pesos to humans and 50,000 to property.

   Re: For car rental, avoid Hertz. 6 years ago. Problem is same with non airport locations of hertz. They have spread quicker than other car rental companies and have lowered quality of service as result in Mexico City. DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ: Initial quoted price $150 - over $500 at the end of the day.
