Dollar is owned by The Hertz Corporation, along with other agencies including Hertz Rent A Car, Firefly Car Rental and Thrifty Car Rental.
Then there are extortionate airport service fees and other miscellaneous charges totalling another $160. To cap it all, the whole lot is taxed for another $50. In total, our $480 rental became $899. Made a reservation 2 months in advance for a car in Louisville KY airport Dollar Car Rental. Upon arrival we were told there were no cars available and we had to leave our phone number. Very Frustrating, no manager to speak to. It took 20 minutes to get the phone call that the car was available, however the not knowing was the worst.
