We rented a car from this Avis location for a trip to Costa Rica between 6/24 and 7/7. We returned the car in good working order and without damage shortly before closing on 7/7. Despite this, Avis charged us $5000 on 7/10, initially providing no explanation to the charge.
First thing: Avis of Costa Rica is not the same company as Avis North America. So whatever expectations or experiences you've had, they won't be repeated here. I'm an experienced car rental customer in Costa Rica, and have always stayed away from Avis because of their bad reviews online. I tried them on a one day rental.

This way, you can avoid any unnecessary ugly surprises when you show up at the agency in Costa Rica. Report inappropriate content.

It wasn't necessary, despite the rainy season, the roads were easy to drive everywhere, there were a few potholes, but you're traveling slowly there anyway, so you can easily avoid them.
