Sure, you could easily spend weeks exploring Costa Rica’s verdant rainforests, majestic volcanoes, and wildlife-rich reserves. But you might be surprised by how much you can pack into four days. With the right plan, you can see all of the above and still have time to relax in a hot spring and eat cacao straight from a tree.

I paid the deposit and I supposed to pay the remaining $146 US to Avis Car Rental in Costa Rica. When I arrive at Avis, the person at the desk refused to charge me the balance of $146 based on my contract. He insisted to have two blank signed credit card slips with no figures as deposit. He said that was standard procedure in Costa Rica.

  7. “I recommend you DO NOT rent from Avis in Costa Rica”

    www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g309240-d...

First thing: Avis of Costa Rica is not the same company as Avis North America. So whatever expectations or experiences you've had, they won't be repeated here. I'm an experienced car rental customer in Costa Rica, and have always stayed away from Avis because of their bad reviews online. I tried them on a one day rental.
