9. Re: costco travel for car rentals. 10 years ago. Just for curiosiity i checked out rates again on Costco ans see if the rates went up much since I booked. I had booked and had budget for our car rental at $540 but now allamo dropped rates and same trip is $410. $135 savings pretty sweet.

My quote for 16 days compact from Costco is $200 more than Discount Hawaii car rental. Even renting direct is cheaper than Costco. Yet Costco seems to be so popular here.
